How to Get Your Mac to Download “exe” Files

I love my Mac… We have a PC too… And I do respect it. But my Mac is far superior in most aspects.

Download Now

The one problem with having a Mac is that it’s a pain in the ass to get it to download PC “exe” programs… I receive huge lists of email addresses that are zipped in “exe” files.

Then it’s a pain in the ass to send huge files… We live in South America and we have the fastest Internet connection available, ADSL 4 MEGA 4096/512, BUT it runs about half that speed because of lack of bandwidth… We have a regular modem that connects to a phone line.

So sending a 4MB file will screw our Internet speed for at least a few hours… Just to put it into perspective, uploading a 3MB 10 minute movie to YouTube takes in the neighborhood of 1-3 hours, depending on the time of day and how many people are using the Internet.

The application we use to open exe files on our Macs is Stuffit Deluxe for Mac… It’s probably a little more than most people need, but it serves our purposes. They also have Stuffit Deluxe for Windows too. If it’s anything like the version for Mac, it’s good to go.

If you just need to open “exe” files on your Mac and don’t want to pay for it, you can get the Stuffit Expander for Free.

Either way… Check out Stuffit Deluxe or Expander to see if it’s for you.

What programs do you use to download “exe” files to your Mac?
